Ok everyone listen up! DO NOT send your phone in with a cracked back glass. I really hope this message reaches people. This is a scam that Tmobile is running. They make it very vague on whether it's ok to send it in with cracked back glass and they say that only the lcd screen is what's important. Well I was just denied my $800 promotional trade in after thinking it was good because I already received 2 monthly bill credits. They want you to send it in that way so you buy the new phone, they give you a couple monthly credits so you think everything is all good. Then they take it away and you end up having to pay full price for the new phone. I told them I wanted my old phone back and to take this 256g galaxy s21 ultra $1400 phone back which was impossible. You can't get your old phone back at this point. Such an obvious scam because they know that just about everyone has at least 1 crack in that back glass. It cracks very easily. Its just a way to get you to buy a new expensive phone and also you are giving them your old phone for free which they will just quickly refurbished and resell. You can order this back glass on Amazon for like $15 and replace it yourself. There are videos showing exactly how to do it. I was about to do this but decided I didn't have to because the back glass isn't part of their 4 point inspection which is just what they want you to think. They guy on the phone was trying to tell me the back glass is the display. I was like how is it the display? It doesn't display anything and it's a separate piece of glass! They ended up giving me a $300 credit after a long hold which I'm sure is what they are taught to do. The long hold makes you think they are talking to supervisors and managers but really they are just sitting in their chair playing candy crush or something. So if you're in this situation, make sure to at least get your $300 credit. I hate big companies and their scam tactics so much. They think they have everyone fooled. Please share this message I'm very upset about this and I would like to get the word out on this. It's pathetic.
That makes no sense whatsoever. If I sent in a phone that didn't work, why would I be so upset when they didn't accept it? Everything I wrote is true. I had my s9 for 3 years with 0 damage. The back glass cracked just a couple months prior to sending it in. I'm not sure why you feel the need to say I'm lying about my phone what purpose does that serve for you? I simply felt the need to warn people to not send their phones in with cracked back glass when it can easily be fixed for $18.

The caveat to the credit is that it's not instant and is applied within two bill cycles to the user's statement. Devices eligible for the buyback include the iPhone 6s and higher and Galaxy S5 and higher. Sprint is offering unlimited data, talk, and text plan for $35 monthly for users who trade-in or buy a new phone. Sprint Unlimited Plus is $20 monthly per line for those who bring a phone or buy one outright. The carrier is also covering switching fees up to $650 per line.

As you'll see from the list, some carrier programs offer incentives, whereas others give you just the peace of mind that you kept one more phone out of a landfill. Doing a good deed may be enough for some, but I recognize that other readers will enjoy an extra benefit. Also, keep in mind that many other recycling options are available. They can include your phone's manufacturer, your employer, a local government agency, a third-party retailer (like Best Buy), or a nonprofit organization. Verizon also accept a broad range of phones and tablets, including devices that it never sold. The list is comparable to Sprint's, though credit will vary widely. For example, a 64GB Wi-Fi iPad has an appraised value of $175, a Samsung Restore is $1, a T-Mobile MyTouch 4G is $112, and an LG EnV Touch is $30. If your display is cracked or the device doesn't power on, you'll get just a couple of dollars if you get anything at all.
Alternatively, Verizon's HopeLine program also will accept all phones for either reuse or recycling. Refurbished phones won't go back to Verizon, but will be donated along with 3,000 minutes of wireless service to domestic violence organizations. To donate a device, you can print a prepaid shipping label online. And if you just have a battery to dispose of, the carrier has a separate program through the Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corp.
You also can recycle used handsets through the Cell Phones for Soldiers program, which uses funds from donated cell phones to buy prepaid calling cards for active-duty military personnel. Prepaid shipping labels are available at company-owned stores or online.
Another option is the Pass it On program. After you buy a new Virgin Mobile phone, you can pass on your old handset to a friend or even a stranger (after transferring your number, of course). When that person activates the phone to their account, you'll receive 60 minutes in calling credit.
To get the absolute most out of selling your old device you may try selling it on your own. Again, be certain you have completely wiped all of your data, encrypted it and removed any SIM or SD cards to protect your personal information. You can try listing it for sale on craigslist or another online marketplace such as eBay.
